Day 1: TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast we take a long drive as you enjoy the beauty of an African country side over hills, down valleys, through villages and trading centers with lunch en-route to Kibale Forest. The journey takes 5 hrs. Lunch and in the afternoon you will the Amabere ga nyinamwiru and the caves in Canon Apollo. You will also do a guides hike in the crater lakes before returning to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Kibale Forest Camp
Day 2: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING IN KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
Today wake up to an early morning chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest that is arguably Africa’s largest surviving hardwood forest. The forest is home to 13 primate species namely chimpanzees, Black and white Columbus monkeys, L’Hoest Monkeys, Grey cheecked Mangabey, Red tailed monkeys, bush babies, pottos and many bird species like the yellow spotted nicator, rumped tinker bird, Little greenbul, green breasted pitta, the crowned eagle, black bee-eater and mammals like Elephants can be seen in this walk as well. As you will notice locating the chimps will be done by listening to their pant-hooting calls, then hustle to the area from which they are calling. Then you will get to observe them as they feed in fruiting trees, lounge, and socialize with each other, or even, occasionally hunt. In the afternoon have Lunch with KAFRED (Kibale Association for Rural and Environmental Development) community group. Later we will take a walk in the Bigodi Swamp for a chance to see a variety of primates, birds and other bush animals like the great Blue turaco, blue monkeys, baboons, otters, mongoose, bush bucks, bush pigs and among others. Dinner and overnight at Kibale Forest Camp
Day 3: KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK AND DROP OFF IN KAMPALA/ENTEBBE
Breakfast and transfer back to Entebbe or Kampala.
End of service.
TRANSPORT
We have got Comfortable 4WD vehicles that are specifically designed with large windows, comfortable seats, and large open roof so that you don’t miss that special moment on your safari. Our Land Cruisers offer seats for 5-6 people to ensure that everybody has a window seat and that luggage can be stored well. Besides the Land Cruisers, we also own several 4WD minibuses which take up 20 people to cater for those groups that would like to travel together and not in separate small vehicles.
