  • Detailed Itinerary

    Day 01: MEET AND GREET

    Our staff will warmly receive you at the airport and transfer you to your place of accommodation so that you can freshen up from the jet lag and rest in preparation for your safari experience. Dinner & Overnight the Boma Guesthouse /Cassia Lodge

    Day 02: TO MURCHISON FALL N P

    After breakfast, you will have an early morning set off to Murchison Falls National Park and on our way we shall also visit the Rhino sanctuary in Nakitoma. Game walk and continue to your accommodation in Murchison Falls NP. Dinner and overnight at Fort Murchison Lodge

    Day 03: MURCHISON FALL N P

    Today you will wake up to an early morning game drive in Uganda’s second largest national park where you will see Elephant, Lion, Buffalo, Giraffe, Hartebeests and many more then you will return to your accommodation to relax. After lunch, proceed for a boat trip on the placid Victoria Nile, upstream, to the base of the fall. En route you will see hippos, crocodiles, water buck as they play in the mud and enjoy the African sun. The boat stops just ten meters from the famous “Devil’s Cauldron”. This presents a great photographic opportunity for you of the majestic Murchison Falls. You will then disembark from the boat and take a hike to the Top of the Falls where you will Marvel at the Nile’s beauty, compressing from 50 meters to squeeze through a 6-metre canyon dropping 40 meters with a thunderous roar creating a beautiful rainbow, a plume of spray and thats when you realise the best thing that happened to the Nile is “the Murchison Falls”. Dinner and overnight as previous.

    Day 04: TO KIBALE FOREST

    After breakfast we take a long drive as you enjoy the beauty of an African country side over hills, down valleys, through villages and trading centers with lunch en-route to Kibale Forest. The journey takes 7-8 hrs.  Dinner and overnight at Kibale Forest camp

    Day 05: IN KIBALE CHIMPANZEE TRACKING

    Wake up to an early morning chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest that is arguably Africa’s largest surviving hardwood forest. The forest is home to 13 primate species, birds and many other forest animal species. In the afternoon have Lunch with KAFRED (Kibale Association For Rural and Environmental Development) community group. Later we will take a walk in the Bigodi Swamp for a chance to see a variety of primates, birds and butterflies and different interesting plant species. Overnight as previous.

    Day 06: TO QUEEN ELIZABETH N P

    This day you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is situated at the foot of the Rwenzoris Mountains, protecting over 200 sq km of Rift Valley Savanna, interspersed with patches of forest and crater lakes. Later in the afternoon, enjoy a launch trip along the Kazinga Channel as you sail up close to crocodiles, hippos and other wildlife that come for a drink. The bird species includes the black bee- eater, 11 types of king fisher, and several species of falcons, eagles and the raptors and many more. Dinner and overnight

    Day 07: IN QUEEN ELIZABETH N P

    Today enjoy two game-drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park’s diverse Eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters a home to an incredible abundance of wildlife.  Game drives in this park, with the massive Rwenzoris as a backdrop, provide excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephants, de fassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, Topi and bush buck. The afternoon boat-cruise offers an excellent platform for photography and game viewing. The birdlife is colourful and abundant. Overnight as previous.

    Day 08: TO BWINDI IMPENTRABLE NP

    After breakfast, you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest NP. You will transfer to one of the Gorilla tracking sectors.  Dinner and Overnight at your place of accommodation.

    Buhoma: Engagi Lodge

    Day 09: GORILLA TRACKING

    After an early breakfast you will have a briefing by a ranger guide and then enter the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure.  The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular.  The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but cress-crossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle and endangered giants is an awesome, exciting experience to be long savored. Many find it to be a rare and moving opportunity. Dinner and Overnight as previous.

    Day 10: TO LAKE MBURO N P

    After Breakfast, we will drive to Lake Mburo National Park. The drive today takes approximately 5 hours and allows time for an afternoon game drive in the splendor of Lake Mburo Uganda’s smallest but very unique national park. We will arrive in time for a boat ride on Lake Mburo. The lake is rich with a diversity of animals and plant species which you can view clearly as you are on the boat trip. Birds resident in this park include African Fin foot, Pelicans, Black crake, Heron, cormorant, fish eagle, etc. Dinner and Overnight as Mburo Safari Lodge

    Day 11: IN LAKE MBURO N P

    This day accompanied with an armed ranger you will have a safari walk to the hyena caves. Then later have another game drive. The acacia forests and wetlands are home to an impressive variety of antelope including the giant eland, impala and other animals resident here include zebra, hippo, leopard, bushbuck and Oribi. Dinner and Overnight as previous.

    Day 12: TO KAMPALA    

    This day have a final game drive as you exit the park. Transfer to Kampala with, Lunch at the Equator where you also take photos for you memory then proceed to Kampala for your drop off at your place of accommodation. Later we will transfer you to the airport in time for your late departure flight back home.
